PRESS RELEASE

It is anticipated that over a hundred art works in all media will fill the gallery and that there will be work included by former students who have since gained international reputations.

Stuft has been organised to celebrate the spirit of the course and to commemorate the 100th Anniversary of the Anlaby Road building, which was purpose-built as the city's art & design school on 1904.

The Fine Art degree course has long been characterised by openness, breadth and experimentation. It has fed into the cultural life of the city both directly and, indirectly, through Hull Time Based Arts and the Red gallery, and through projects, initiatives and work of former students. Unfortunately, the course is set to close soon, yet hopefully its creativity and energy will not vanish but continue in other forms and it is this which stuft will celebrate.
